Refrigerators Have Boundaries

Refrigerators Have Boundaries

We have come a long way in refrigeration in this generation of appliance technicians.

Most new units just keep getting more and more efficient. But like anything, you can improve how you use them. We have some ways you can improve the performance of your refrigerator.

First, refrigerators have boundaries. Those white or silver shelf edges? Those are your fridge boundaries. Do not exceed them with food items.

Why? Most of the time, when we get called because of excess frost in a freezer, it’s because the door wasn’t closed correctly. Food crossing the boundaries is actually pushing against your door, way after you’ve closed it.

The next time you close your refrigerator: Listen carefully. If you hear anything but the soft sound of your door, that fridge needs to be re-arranged.

The Appliance Coach is always here to help you! We’ll be posting more information on social media. Check us out on Facebook, Instagram,
